Our Mindfulness Holidays are taking place in the Hesperia Hotel.
The Hesperia Hotel in Playa Blanca is looking out at the very beautiful and expansive Playa Dorada beach and Sparkling Atlantic ocean. It is within walking distance of all the beautiful little shops and cafes. Another perfect venue for our mindfulness retreat. Playa Blanca (White Beach) is a pretty fishing village and is the most southerly and sheltered of the three tourist resorts in Lanzarote

On this holiday retreat you will experience the practice of mindfulness and guided meditations in these very beautiful natural surroundings, listening to the sounds of the sea and the birds. Our meditations will take place outdoors where we have both sunny and shaded areas, the luxury of beautiful gardens and the golden white sands of the beach. This way you get to enjoy meditating and practicing mindfulness in various settings.
You will be inspired and encouraged to incorporate these simple yet profound techniques into your day to day life.

Professor emeritus Jon Kabat-Zinn, founder and former director of the Stress Reduction Clinic at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center, helped to bring the practice of mindfulness meditation into mainstream medicine and demonstrated that practicing mindfulness can bring improvements in both physical and psychological symptoms as well as positive changes in health attitudes and behaviours.

Each morning of the retreat, after a leisurely breakfast, we will start with some gentle stretches and movement and continue with our mindfulness meditations in the beautiful gardens of the hotel and on the beach. We will finish at lunchtime, leaving time for you to explore this beautiful island or relax by the sea.
The group will enjoy breakfast and dinner together and for night owls there is always a lovely selection of music and live shows at the hotel in the evenings.
This is an ideal holiday if travelling alone, and you have the opportunity to build new life time friendships.
Carolyn Curtis, Life Coach & trainer has been teaching meditation for over two decades and believes that her daily practice of mindfulness has added a beautiful dimension to her life adding to her level of happiness. Carolyn moved from Cork to Lanzarote a year ago and her courses have been featured in the Irish Times.
